O-Shot Post-care Instructions

  • You can return to work the same day as your procedure

  • You may use Tylenol (acetaminophen) to relieve pain following your procedure (as directed on the label) or apply an ice pack to the area. However, avoid using aspirin and other NSAID pain relief medications like Motrin, Advil and Aleve.

  • Wait at least three days before having sex or using a tampon

  • Results are often immediate, but some patients will need to wait up to several weeks for maximum results.

Is O-Shot safe?

Yes! To date, O-Shot patients have reported no side effects—the procedure uses your own platelet-rich plasma.

Is O-Shot painful?

Although pain tolerance varies from person to person, your O-Shot treatment should cause very little pain, if any. Your injection site will be numbed with a topical cream, but some may experience a stinging or pinching sensation during the treatment.

What can I expect after getting an O-Shot?

Although you may experience sensitivity and swelling after your injection, it should subside after just a few days.
